Coastal Wine Market & tasting room served up a selection of gourmet wines, pasta and cheeses at an intimate tasting event held Aug. 5 at the Nocatee shop.

Guests at the ticketed event enjoyed tastings of gourmet rigatoni topped with Italian Gerardo’s Marinara and vodka sacues, accompanied by crispy Italian breadsticks and generous slices of parmesan reggiano cheese.

The gourmet food pairing event was just the latest tasting event offered at the new Nocatee wine shop and tasting room. Each Friday, the shop holds a wine tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. where guests can sample six wines for $10. Guests also receive 20 percent off their first purchase of a bottle of wine with their tasting receipt.

In addition to the Friday evening tastings, this Saturday, Aug. 13 Coastal Wine Market will host a boutique wine tasting with wine aficionado Tony Tirello from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and include samples of six wines as well as the 20 percent off discount on the first bottle of wine purchased.

Coastal Wine Market’s next food and wine pairing event will be a gourmet grilled cheese and panini pairing class. To be held Saturday, Sept. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the event will offer samplings of panini prepared with gourmet breads and cheeses, along with tips on pairing them with wines and beers to enhance the flavors. Tickets are $30 per person and are limited to 20 people. To register, visit http://tastingeventsatcwm.eventbrite.com.
