Fall fun at the Farmers Market

Featured event: Food Truck Friday Oct. 23

Nocatee will host its bi-weekly Food Truck Friday on Oct. 23 at the Splash Water Park from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and not limited to Nocatee residents. Jacksonville’s favorite Jax Truckies food trucks will gather to serve the community some local, one-of-a-kind gourmet food and snacks. Cody Johnson will provide live music. Beer and wine are available for purchase at the bar, including select craft beers and wines. The Nocatee Farmers Market invited the community to get excited for the season with the annual Fall Festival on Saturday, sponsored by Florida Water Technologies Inc. The day featured a live bluegrass band, Big Cypress, a petting zoo, horse drawn hay-rides and life-size scarecrow making — a Nocatee tradition. Along with this seasonal and festive theme, the market included more than 80 local vendors offering items such as organic produce, herbs, spices, delicious unique foods, crafts, jewelry and more. Free face painting was provided by Chet’s Creek Church, along with free crafts. The Farmers Market is hosted at Farmers Market Field, 100 Marketside Ave. in Nocatee.
