More than 100 new and classic cars will be on display next month, when the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce hosts the 14th annual Ponte Vedra Auto Show.

To be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, this year’s auto show will feature up to 175 domestic and international automobiles vying for more than 30 trophies in such categories as Classic (20 years or older) and Post War (post-1945). In addition to the new location, this year’s auto show will feature new categories for golf carts and vintage off-road vehicles, along with live music and family-friendly activities.

In recognition of the fact that this year’s auto show falls on the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the event will begin with a brief ceremony honoring the lives of those lost that day.

“We will be paying special tribute to our U.S. military and first responders,” said SJC Chamber President Isabelle Rodriguez, who thanked presenting sponsor Fields Auto Group for their support for this year’s event.

“This will be an exciting event showcasing some of the best in the history of the automotive industry,” Fields Auto Group Vice President Garry Redig said. “We are looking forward to a great show.”

Automobile registration is $35 per vehicle for pre-registration and $50 per vehicle for day of registration. Pre-registration ends at noon on Friday, Sept. 9.
