Christine Rodenbaugh joins the Recorder staff

The Ponte Vedra Recorder recently welcomed Christine Rodenbaugh as its editor.

Rodenbaugh, a St. Augustine resident and a native Floridian, began her new role June 17 after former editor, Jon Blauvelt, took a position at a nonprofit.

Previously, Rodenbaugh was community editor at The St. Augustine Record, editing two monthly publications, an annual magazine and compiling Saturday’s real estate section. Before working at a newspaper, she was magazine director for the Southern Kingfish Association, producing 145 issues of Angler magazine. She also held a post as the communications director of the American Culinary Federation.

“I’m thrilled to have Chris on board. In addition to wearing the editor’s hat, she will photograph and write content for our many products,” said Susan Griffin, publisher. “I know she’s looking forward to getting to know the community.”

Originally from DeLand, Florida, she married St. Augustine native, Steve Rodenbaugh, in 1988. Steve is facilities manager at a church, and the couple have a son, Michael, who graduated from UNF with a degree in computer engineering.

“I am excited to join the talented and dedicated staff of the Ponte Vedra Recorder. The newspaper celebrates 50 years of producing local journalism in November,” Rodenbaugh said. “It’s an honor to be a part of a publication that has served the area for so long.”

To contact Rodenbaugh, call 904-686-3939 or email chris@opcfla.com.
