Coastal Wine Market & Tasting Room in Nocatee celebrated its second anniversary on June 16 with a party featuring wine tastings, giveaways, raffles and more.
Co-owner Steve Lourie called the celebration “pure joy” and attributed the business’ longevity to the support of the community.
“Without a question, (it’s) the great community that we have the fortune of running a small business in that’s Nocatee,” Lourie said. “It was a big plunge (to open the business), and the community has certainly softened the blow. … I consider myself a big hugger, and I did a lot of hugging that night.”
Lourie said he continues to see new faces at his business every day, which he noted is a testament of Nocatee’s growth. He also said Coastal Wine Market has evolved into the destination he and wife/co-owner Shaun hoped it would become: a place for people to relax, have conversations and learn about wine.
“(It’s) not so much a wine bar but (more) a neighborhood gathering,” Lourie said.
