The EMMA Concert Association will present Dance Alive National Ballet (DANB) in a production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14 at Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium.

The ballet is based on the Shakespeare play, with selections from Felix Mendelssohn’s Incidental Music.

“The second-to-last performance of our 2019-2020 season, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ is an amazing, must-see, two-part ballet focusing on the power of love,” said Joanne Everett, president of EMMA Concert Association. “And the choreography is by the extraordinary George Balanchine, one of the most influential choreographers of the 20th century.”

Based in Gainesville, DANB features an international roster of dancers and[JL1]  choreography, with a repertoire that ranges from the quintessential classic “Nutcracker” to the cutting-edge movement of contemporary ballet. Under the direction of Artistic Director Kim Tuttle, the group continues to develop innovative arts education programming and is involved in artist residencies, developing dance curriculum and outreach performances for public schools.

EMMA Concert Association performances are held at Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College, 14 Granada St. in downtown St. Augustine. Tickets are $40 per person. The price for children and students with school ID is $5 per concert. Tickets can be purchased at emmaconcerts.com, by phone at (904) 797-2800 or by email at EMMAinfo@bellsouth.net.
