Right now, St. Johns County Public Library Services is celebrating all things libraries through the end of National Library Week with interesting and intriguing books about all things libraries. Love your library and take one or more of these books to the circulation desk for checkout for a behind-the-scenes peek at libraries, true crime involving libraries and how libraries benefit the community. Forthcoming, there will be a National Library Week created by SJCPLS staff featuring some great books about libraries for adults and kids. After National Library Week, a special display will go up for National Poetry Month.

National Gardening Month/Earth Day

When: Throughout April

April celebrates National Garden Month and Earth Day. On the display at St. Johns County Public Libraries, you’ll find a variety of non-fiction titles about Florida gardening, its mental health benefits and how to get started. Gardening and nature have exploded in popularity during the pandemic as it can be a solitary activity and has many mental health benefits. Earth Day titles share how you can “go green” and preserve the planet. All display books are available for checkout at our circulation desk.
