First Coast residents, visitors ring in new year at Beach Blast Off 2019

Thousands of people flocked to St. Augustine Beach on Monday, Dec. 31 to celebrate the new year at Beach Blast Off 2019. 

Held at the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier, the event featured live entertainment, food trucks and other food and drink vendors and a kids zone area with bounce houses, face painting and more. 

With event attendees sitting on the beach and throughout the pier parking lot, the night came to a close with a 30-minute fireworks show a few hours before the clock struck midnight.
