Hope at Hand holding high school poetry contest

Hope at Hand is holding a poetry contest for high school students as part of its 3rd Annual Jax Poetry Fest in April.

Students may submit one poem of no more than 15 lines on any subject and in any style except concrete or blackout poetry. The content of the poem cannot be vulgar, offensive or contain profanity. The contest is open to both public and private high school students. Poems must be original, individual work of the entrant. Submissions are due by March 9.

Hope at Hand is a 501(c)(3) charity that provides poetry lessons for at-risk youth populations in North Florida.  Founded by veteran educator Steffani Hendricks Fletcher in 2009, Hope at Hand combines poetry and art to help youth process life, love and progress. Hope at Hand partners with over 15 youth agencies in North Florida.
