The Jacksonville Area Golf Association (JAGA) recently announced its award winners for 2018. The following people were honored for their contributions to JAGA and golf, in general, in North Florida:

Club Executive of the Year: Greg Sheara (Timuquana Country Club)

Community Service Award: Jeff Willoughby (The First Tee of North Florida)

Director of the Year: Duke Butler III (TPC Sawgrass)

Earl Kelly Longtime Service Award: Tom Dudley (Timuquana Country Club)

Professional of the Year: Ray Barr Jr. (Jacksonville Golf & Country Club)

The honorees will be recognized at the “Celebration of Golf” banquet in February, which is co-sponsored by JAGA and the Northern Chapter of the North Florida PGA. Details of the banquet will be announced in January.

“As JAGA winds down its 65th year, it is a privilege to spotlight these five individuals who have made many valuable contributions to JAGA over the last 12 months,” JAGA president Don Gilmore said. “Each has helped make 2018 a year of growth and progress for our organization. We can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done. We look forward to publicly honoring them at the banquet in February.”
