The Grand Bohemian Gallery in St. Augustine hosted world-renowned French artist Jean Claude Roy November 8 and 9. His one-man exhibition will span the month of November exclusively at The Grand Bohemian Galleries, the only placed it will be shown in the United States.

A native of Rochefort-Sur-Mer, France, Roy’s masterpiece paintings exude his passionate zest for life. He sees the beauty in the everyday and expresses it in each work. His dual studios in France and Newfoundland set the scene for his trademark sun and brilliantly colored, swirling skies. His paintings include images of France’s majestic chateaus, bursting fields of lavender and poppies, lush yellow-green rolling hills and also St. Augustine, Florida. The Casa Monica Hotel, Flagler College, the Bridge of Lions and St. George Street are activated by the bold color and vibrato of the artist.
