Sustainable living ideas about alternative energy, gardening, recycling and conservation will be among the topics discussed by speakers at the second annual Full Circle Fest on Saturday, April 27, on the Front Porch at the Amp (previously St. Augustine Amphitheatre).

To be held from 3 to 8 p.m., the event will be hosted by Keepers of the Coast, a local nonprofit organization focused on providing a safe and sustainable coastal environment for residents and visitors.

“Every aspect of Full Circle Fest is designed for a family-friendly day celebrating our community, and how we can ensure the coastal systems of Northeast Florida remain a beautiful part of our local environment,” said Tara Dodson, founder of Keepers of the Coast. “Bring refillable containers and stay hydrated at the many Amp water bottle filling stations. We’ll also have adult libations available for purchase such as cold beer from Dog Rose Brewing and sangria from San Sebastian Winery.”

Guests are encouraged to bring their own bag and shop for unique, plastic-free, eco-conscious gift items. Culinary creations by Arepa Life, Late Risers Food Truck and The Silver Bullet will be on site.

Live music at Full Circle Fest begins with Theo Moon from Orlando. That will be followed by an educational/interactive lecture and African drum performance by Nan Nkama of Jacksonville. The evening ends with Brett Bass and Melted Plectrum.

Admission to the event is a suggested donation of $5 per person. Guests are encouraged to bike, walk or carpool. Those who ride their bikes can park at the VeloFest bike station to be entered into a raffle to win a prize.

Full Circle Fest is sponsored by The Amp’s Green Hands Program, in addition to several other local organizations and businesses.
