Brooke Barlow is bringing her share of post-season softball honors to her next college.

The Bartram Trail High School graduate signed in May to continue her career at University of Central Florida.

The first baseman completed her second year at College of Central Florida by being named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association National Junior College Athletic Association Division I All-South Region first team.

She also was selected for the Florida College System Activities Association All-State and All-Mid-Florida Conference first teams.

Named the school’s Female Athlete of the Year at the athletics awards banquet, Barlow batted .441 in 56 games. She hit nine home runs and drove in 56 runs, tied for second on the squad.

Barlow had a .990 fielding percentage in 292 chances, the second most on the squad. She leaves the junior college program as its all-time RBI leader, with 163 in two years.

Women’s golf
August Kim opened her professional career at the Four Winds Invitational of the Symetra Tour. The Purdue University graduate, who competed for Allen D. Nease, shot a 216 (72-71-73) to tie for 15th. She earned $2,034.

Women’s outdoor track and field
University of North Carolina sophomore Nicole Greene was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team in the high jump after placing second at the conference championship. The Ponte Vedra High alumnus cleared 5 feet, 11 1/2 inches.

Baseball
College of Central Florida freshman outfielder Blake Marabell is an All-Mid-Florida Conference second-team selection. The former Bear batted .328 in 51 games. He led the team with 20 doubles and three triples. He had seven home runs and 35 RBIs, both second on the squad.

Men’s golf
Previously at Bartram Trail, LaGrange College senior Logan Lanier is the men’s recipient of the USA South Atlantic Conference Don Scalf Award, which recognizes the conference’s top student-athlete. This year Lanier was a first-year All-American and the Jack Nicklaus National Division III Player of the Year. Among his other honors, he was recognized as LaGrange’s top male student-athlete.
