Espero BioPharma, a biopharmaceutical company based in Ponte Vedra Beach and founded by resident Quang Pham, has been named the fastest-growing private company in Northeast Florida for the second year in a row by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

We thank our investors, employees and partners for their belief and support and the Jacksonville Business Journal for this special recognition,” said Pham, who serves as the company’s chairman and CEO. “We are honored, and we congratulate all of the honorees. Our award is like running a fast 5K out of the gate. The companies that appear on this list every year and are growing in volume are the consistent marathoners.”

The Jacksonville Business Journal ranking is based on Espero’s average annual revenue growth over the past three years. Major industries represented on the list include supply chain, financial services, health care, technology and legal. Espero focuses on the development and commercialization of drugs to treat cardiovascular disease.

The 50 honorees on the list, including Espero, have been in business since 2014 and are headquartered in the seven-county First Coast area. After being nominated, companies have to provide verifiable revenue figures (at least $1 million) that are analyzed and reviewed by the CPA firm.

The Jacksonville Business Journal has identified annually the fastest 50 growing companies on the First Coast for 27 years with the help of CPA firm GunnChamberlain P.L. This list has tracked companies that have grown during economic expansion and grown during economic challenges.
