The Pink Ribbon Golf Classic took place Thursday, Oct. 4 at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, bringing together several local women in the fight against breast cancer.

In addition to golf, the event included a luncheon, presentation and awards ceremony. Prizes were awarded to winners of the hole in one, closest to the pin, low gross, low net and overall best sport contests.

The Pink Ribbon festivities continue Thursday, Oct. 11 with the annual cocktail party at a home in Marsh Landing. The party will have a silent auction featuring pieces from many local artists thanks to the help and coordination of Village Arts. Then on Thursday, Nov. 8, one of the organization’s original sponsors, Underwood Jewelers, will host the annual check presentation at a David Yurman trunk show, where Pink Ribbon will present the 2018 check to their beneficiaries, Baptist Medical Center Beaches and Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville.

Pink Ribbon hopes to raise at least $300,000 this year. To date, the organization has raised over $1,465,000 for the local fight against breast cancer.
