Nights of Lights kicks off in St. Augustine with Light-Up! Night

Posted

Thousands of First Coast residents flocked to St. Augustine on Saturday, Nov. 17 for opening night of the Oldest City’s annual holiday lighting display, Nights of Lights, which this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Light-Up! Night kicked off with a performance by Showtime USA in front of the Lightner Museum, followed by a performance by the All Star Orchestra from the Plaza de la Constitucion gazebo. With the turning of a switch, the lighting ceremony took place at 6:30 p.m., illuminating several of the historic buildings, trees and landscaping that line the roads of St. Augustine.

The holiday display continues every night through Feb. 3, 2019. For complete visitor information, including a calendar of events during the 10-week long Nights of Lights and details on the city's accommodations, restaurants and dining opportunities, visit www.NightsofLights.com.
