Pink Ribbon volunteers raise money for the cause

The annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic was not held this year due to renovations at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club golf course. But volunteers for the nonprofit still raised money to find treatments and cures for breast cancer Oct. 10, by selling pink flags honoring loved ones impacted by the disease. They sold flags for $20 each, and displayed flags purchased over the past five years in front of Publix at Sawgrass Village Shopping Center. The charity raises money for Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville and Baptist Medical Center Beaches, to help in their efforts to research and treat breast cancer.
