The Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library hosted the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants on Oct. 13 for a presentation inspired by PBS series “Downton Abbey” on how to decorate your home using food and flowers.
Because the event took place earlier than usual due to the library’s impending, temporary closure, the 50 people in attendance also learned about seasonal arrangements for autumn, in addition to the winter holidays.
Eighteen ladies took home flower arrangements that the Sisterhood created before and during the event. In addition to participating in the raffle to win the arrangements, attendees at the event also enjoyed light refreshments provided by The Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
The Sisterhood will return to the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library on Friday, March 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. for its “Springtime at Downton” event.
