Flagler Health+ and Publix Super Markets have teamed up to open the first in a series of new telehealth clinics inside Publix locations throughout St. Johns County. Located adjacent to the Publix pharmacy, consumers can be seen and treated virtually by a board-certified physician for minor illnesses, in the privacy of a dedicated telehealth space, in an average of 10 minutes. They recently celebrated the opening of the first location in Nocatee, located at 120 Marketside Ave. Publix Vice President of Pharmacy Dain Rusk and Flagler Health+ President and CEO Jason Barrett led the celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new Flagler Health+ Walk-In-Care clinic.

The telehealth clinic is a private room with teleconferencing and medical diagnostic equipment, including stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, high-definition cameras and other tools necessary for common diagnoses. Patients speak directly via video conferencing technology with a board-certified physician. The physician directs the patient to use the available diagnostic tools in order to make a diagnosis and write any necessary prescriptions. Publix Pharmacy support staff are available to assist patients, if needed. Flagler Health+ and Publix have plans for four additional locations in the coming year.
