With less than two months left in the year, the St. Augustine Art Association is geared up for the holidays.

The holiday events kick off with the Festival of Art on Saturday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 1, at Francis Field in St. Augustine.

There will also be three displays of inspiring artwork in the Art Association gallery, through Dec. 29. The featured displays will be Florida Wild, Tiny Town Holiday Village (opened Nov. 23) and Virginia Nolan: 20th Century Artist.

Also, Monday Night Figure Drawing Sessions will meet every Monday evening at 6.

Looking ahead to 2020, there are some new programs on the calendar.

The After School Children's Art Program will be starting on Jan. 8, 2020, for elementary and middle schoolers. Classes will meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the St. Augustine Art Association. On Jan. 25, artist Herrick Smith will teach a step-by-step workshop on hand-building methods and techniques using locally dug clay and local temper, and on Valentine's Day he'll be teaching a couples evening pottery class.
