Fifth-grade students interested in drama, dance, visual arts, band or chorus are encouraged to attend Arts Information Night for the St. Johns County Center for the Arts (SJCCA) at Murray Middle School (MMS) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 at MMS in the auditorium.

Students wishing to apply to SJCCA at MMS must be fifth graders residing in St. Johns County during the 2017-18 school year. The application process includes an audition requirement. Auditions will be held Monday, Jan. 29 during the school day, and the audition schedule is posted at http://www-mms.stjohns.k12.fl.us. Current St. Johns County School District (SJCSD) students may apply online through Home Access Center (HAC).  Applications will be accepted Jan. 18 through Feb. 8.

Fifth grade students who reside in St. Johns County but do not currently attend a SJCSD school must pre-register as a potential student (home schooled, virtual school, private school).  Parents are encouraged to visit the school district’s website for the required preregistration documentation at http://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/student/enrollment/. The completed documentation must be taken to the elementary school that the child is currently zoned to attend, where parents will receive a paper application to complete. The school will fax the completed form to the Career Education Office for processing.

All students participating in auditions will be notified of their acceptance status by email near the end of February. School bus transportation is only provided for students zoned for MMS. Families not zoned for MMS will be responsible for providing their child’s transportation to and from school.
