The Palms at Ponte Vedra assisted living and memory care community hosted a Thanksgiving luncheon for residents and their families last Thursday, Nov. 15.
The event featured live music, fellowship and a Thanksgiving meal consisting of all the traditional favorites, such as turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, salad, ham, pie and more. Darryl Young, the culinary director at The Palms at Ponte Vedra, prepared turkey and trimmings for residents and their families while serving each guest.
Staff at the Palms’ luncheon branded the event as a time to be thankful for family and friends. As event attendees enjoyed their meal, staff members recognized some tenured Palms at Ponte Vedra residents by offering them a special gift. Additionally, Young recognized members of his team for preparing the Thanksgiving feast and he wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving.
