The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach planned to hold its weekly meeting at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse today, Nov. 7, in order to honor and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Ponte Vedra Recorder.
They planned to present the paper with an award of appreciation and recognition, with County Commissioner Jeremiah Blocker presenting a proclamation declaring November 7, 2019 Ponte Vedra Recorder Day.
“The Recorder has served the community for 50 years and serves as a trusted source to all of the residents of Ponte Vedra and the Beaches,” Vickie Cavey, President of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach, announced in an email to Publisher Susan Griffin. “We appreciate all the fine work the paper does, and you personally have been a steadfast constant for 25 years - we want to thank you for a job well done.”
