The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce acknowledged some of this area’s business leaders during the Annual Awards Event at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort. Entertainment was provided by the Chris Thomas Band & Dance Alday Ballroom & Latin studio.
The Chris Thomas Band presents big band music fashioned after great performers like Sinatra, Martin, and Davis. Full of soul and power, the band also performs Motown favorites as well as current hits.

• Lori Adams received The Ponte Vedra Ambassador of the Year Award. This award is also known as Grace Hayes Ambassador of the Year Award, dedicated to Grace Hayes, a former Editor of the Ponte Vedra Recorder. Lori Adams is known as gracious, hardworking and a team player. She has served as a Ponte Vedra ambassador for over 3 years.
• Phil McDaniel, president of the St. Augustine Distillery Company, received the 2015-16 Fred Schroeder EDC Member of the Year Award! For the last 11 years, Phil has given back to the St. Augustine community in a variety of local non-profit and philanthropic roles. Phil has a passion for using locally grown agriculture products to distill super-premium, small-batch spirits better than anyone in the world.
• Dr. Erika Hamer, owner of the Ponte Vedra Wellness Center received Chamber Member of the Year Award for Outstanding Contributions. Dr. Hamer remains active in the local community through service and by conducting health talks and postural screenings at local businesses and senior centers. She has taught Anatomy & Physiology at the North Florida Institute of Massage Therapy. Dr. Hamer is the immediate past president of the Chamber’s Ponte Vedra Beach Division and a past president of the Northeast Florida Chiropractic Society.
