Nick Primrose announced Tuesday, Aug. 6, that Gov. Ron DeSantis has officially endorsed his campaign for Florida State House (District 18), a pivotal endorsement in the race for St. Johns County. This key endorsement comes on the heels of Primrose’s previous endorsement by U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz and state Rep. Cyndi Stevenson.

“I am pleased to endorse Nick Primrose, a proven conservative, for the Florida House in District 18,” said DeSantis. “Nick was a valuable member of my general counsel’s office when we fought federal COVID mandates and kept our schools and businesses open. I look forward to working with him again to keep Florida the freest state in the country when he represents St. Johns County in the State House.”

“Serving the people of Florida as a trusted member of Gov. DeSantis’ administration was an incredible honor,” Primrose said. “We made Florida a beacon of hope and the envy of other states. I'm grateful for Gov. DeSantis' endorsement and look forward to working with him again to pass legislation that protects individual liberties and preserves the Florida Dream.”

Primrose served as the former deputy general counsel to governors DeSantis and Rick Scott, where he provided legal advice and counsel regarding economic prosperity, transportation, election security and judicial appointments. While serving DeSantis, Primrose simultaneously served as the general counsel for the Division of Emergency Management, providing legal advice during hurricane and natural disaster response, as well as navigating executive actions related to COVID-19.
