The Grass Menagerie will perform a concert at the Ponte Vedra Beach library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10. Doors open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Bluegrass is one of the musical genres that Americans claim as their own. It developed and was influenced by Welsh, Scottish and English traditional styles. As it developed, it also took on influences of African-Americans by including elements of jazz.
The Grass Menagerie was formed seven years ago for audiences desiring the bluegrass feel but with an added factor-variety.
The concert is presented by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Library.
