Hugs Across the County announces matching gift challenge

Hugs Across the County has announced that the Persbacker-Wyman Family Foundation has established a generous $10,000 Matching Gift Challenge in support of the charity’s long-standing Clothing Care Package Program,
which provides clothing, shoes, undies, socks and toiletries
to hundreds of St. Johns County children-in-need every year.
Since August, Hugs has already provided Clothing Care Packages to more than 300 local children in crisis situations, many who arrive at school wearing the only clothing that they own.

Throughout the month of December, donations will be matched up to $10,000 thanks to the matching gift challenge. Since Hugs is an all-volunteer nonprofit, donations will go directly to the purchase of new shoes, new undies, new clothing and Clothing Closet expenses.
