As part of its Independence Day festivities, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club held a sandcastle contest. Here are some of the entries. ‘Whale of a 4th’ won Most Patriotic; ‘Gator Wrasslin’’ won Most Creative; ‘Here Comes the Sun,’ a depiction of the Sunshine state, won Best Overall; and “Princess Castle” was a more traditional castle made from sand.
