JAXUSL, the United Soccer League (USL) franchise group bringing men’s and women’s professional soccer to Northeast Florida, has teamed up with Jacksonville University, the Jacksonville Jaguars and GotSport to host a soccer clinic for boys and girls ages 4 through12 ahead of the Texans vs. Jaguars regular season game on Sept. 24 at EverBank Stadium.

The youth soccer clinic, presented by GotSport, will be directed by JAXUSL’s Mauricio Ruiz and run by JU soccer players and coaching staff in the Flex Field at Daily’s Place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The cost of the clinic starts at $60 and includes a ticket to the Texans vs. Jaguars game, which kicks off at 1 p.m. that afternoon. Family and friends of clinic participants can also purchase game tickets starting at just $45 each (plus fees).

“We’re delighted to partner with JU, the Jaguars and GotSport to host this unique soccer clinic prior to the Jaguars game against the Texans,” Ruiz said. “I’m excited to team up with former JU colleagues and grateful to the Jaguars and GotSport for their support of our soccer clinic to continue to nurture youth soccer talent throughout our Northeast Florida communities.”

On Aug. 1, JAXUSL announced its founding partnership with GotSport, a leading sports software company based in Jacksonville Beach. GotSport will provide soccer software solutions and support across its digital platforms, help the club develop and manage its databases and support the growth of its forthcoming USL Academy through 2024.
