Landrum Middle School (LMS) in Ponte Vedra Beach recently held a school spirit fundraising effort called the Landrum Lion Challenge that ultimately raised $56,000 for the school.

LMS families were able to donate at different monetary levels to not only support the school, but to spread their Lion spirit across the community. The initiative was seen throughout the community with Landrum Lions signs in front yards and via discussions about engraved bricks or paw prints, which will be placed in and around the school with the families’ names on them.

The PTO had a fundraising goal of $40,000 but ultimately raised the $56,000. The monies raised from the fundraiser will provide the necessary funds for the following:

·       Additional security cameras

·       Coded keypads/doors

·       Licenses for academic software

·       Additional laptops for classrooms

·       Advanced teacher training

·       Audio/visual needs for both gymnasium and auditorium

·       Outdoor campus enhancements
