The Masquerade Ball, St. Francis House and Port in the Storm’s twist on their annual gala, successfully raised thousands of dollars to benefit homeless youth, families, men and women in St. Johns County.

The magical evening was hosted by Tringali Barn on Friday the 13th of October. The event raised more than $40,000 and more than 150 people attended. Tickets included signature cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, axe throwing, a live band, special performances, hayrides and more.

Attendees, many of whom wore spectacular costumes and masks, were served a glass of bubbly from a champagne dress on the red carpet as they entered the barn. Once inside, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails, unlimited beer and wine served by The Perfect Pour and tasty treats, such as holidays sliders with turkey and cranberry sauce, skewered chicken with bourbon barbecue sauce and stuffed mushroom caps by Late Risers.

The annual star auction gave attendees the opportunity to sponsor a homeless youth, family or individual. Led by former St. Augustine Mayor Tracy Upchurch, generous donors purchased “stars” totaling more than $15,000.

According to organizers, everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed this magical celebration. They are currently planning their next event, the third annual Festival of Trees. Participants will decorate a tree or wreath that will be auctioned off at the Lightner Museum on Dec. 4-7. Go to stfrancisshelter.org for more information.
