The Nease Panthers released their football schedule for the 2024 season on Jan. 30, and as always there are several marquee matchups on the slate.
The Panthers open up on the road against Oakleaf on Aug. 16 before facing the rival Ponte Vedra Sharks at home on Aug. 23.
Following the recent FHSAA realignment, the Panthers and Sharks are no longer in the same district due to the Panthers being in Class 6A, while the Sharks are in Class 5A, which means the matchup moves back to early in the season.
The Panthers new district opponents include Tocoi Creek, Gainesville Buchholz and Bartram Trail, and of those district games, Bartram Trail and Gainesville Buchholz will be at home while Tocoi Creek is a road contest.
Other road contests include Creekside, St. Augustine and Beachside, which is now in a class instead of being independent.
The home slate also includes matchups with Davenport Ridge Community, Fletcher and Atlantic Coast.
