Recount Saturday in County Commission race

The Canvassing Board has ordered a recount for the County Commission District 4 race because there is only a 0.46% difference between the number of voters choosing incumbent Jeremiah Blocker and those choosing challenger Krista Keating-Joseph.

According to the unofficial results, Blocker received 18,730 votes to Keating-Joseph’s 18,905, a difference of only 175 votes.

The recount will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections Office. The recount is open to candidates, political parties, press and the general public.

The office is located at 4455 Ave. A, Suite 101, St. Augustine.
