Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra to host ‘Trash Bash’ Dec. 9

Posted

The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra has scheduled a “Trash Bash” community cleanup event Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to pick up litter in Nocatee area.

The cleanup will take place along the cart path that extends from Anejo restaurant in Nocatee to the GATE gas station near Davis Park.

The reason for the cleanup is due to a lot of trash recently having been spotted piling up along that stretch of cart path and has led to area wildlife often having to navigate through large debris in the collection streams coming out of the woods near the path.

Trash bags and gloves will be supplied on site and there will be at least one five-foot long pick-up tool. However, if a member of the community is attending that has one of their own, they are encouraged to bring it as there will be certain instances expected where some trash must be picked up out of water streams.

The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra invites the entire community to come out and invite their friends and family to join them in making a difference in their community.

The event will get started and meet in the parking lot of Anejo. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be available for everyone prior to the cleanup getting started.
