Sarah Palin makes a stop at Sawgrass

Posted

On Saturday, May 21, my husband Dale and I hosted an afternoon reception and talk with Sarah Palin, candidate for Congress in Alaska, at our Sawgrass Country Club home to neighbors and friends.

Palin announced her run for the U.S. Congress from Alaska on April 1.

Palin a former mayor, city council member, chair of the oil and gas commission that oversaw the supply of Alaska's natural resources to the rest of the United States and, last but not least, former governor of Alaska and candidate for vice president of the United States has a resume that is long and very impressive.

Since her days in political office, this mother of five has served as a Fox News contributor, hosted several outdoor lifestyle shows on the Sportsman Channel and written her memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life."

Palin gave a wonderful talk, posed for photos and spoke about her decision to get back in the political arena.

“When I announced,” said Palin, “I said, ‘Alaskans, if you hire me, I would love to work for you. I will go to Washington, D.C., and I will represent you.’”
