SJCSD ASSIST program seeks support for Backpacks for Seniors Drive

Posted

The St. Johns County School District’s (SJCSD) Aid and Support for Students in Sudden Transition (ASSIST) program and St. Johns CARES want to provide ASSIST college-bound graduating seniors with a new backpack, academic calendar, water bottle, school supplies and a gift card for needed incidentals as they start the next chapter in their lives.

The ASSIST program helps approximately 700 homeless students ranging from pre-k to graduating seniors in the St. Johns County School District, including the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.

Each backpack and its contents are valued at $125.
