Sweet Art Gallery to hold opening exhibit April 13

Sweet Art Gallery, 310 Front St., Ste 875, Ponte Vedra Beach, is planning an opening exhibition for artist Al Razza from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

Razza received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Massachusetts College of Art in 1977. He also attended the Art Institute of Boston, the University of Rhode Island and Florida Atlantic University.

In 1991, Razza won one of the first South Florida Art Consortium Fellowships, awarded for artistic excellence by the consortium and the National Endowment for the Arts.

His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries and is included in private and public collections. He is the owner of the Razza School of Art in Coral Springs, Florida, where he teaches drawing and painting and maintains a studio.

This is the second location for Sweet Art Gallery, a contemporary modern art gallery and home to works by more than 35 established artists. Since 2005, gallery owner Dede Sweet was one of the first to offer contemporary fine art in Naples, where the other gallery is located.

The gallery offers in-home showings to allow customers to view the art in their own space before buying.
