Vintage Market Days event planned for Dec. 1-3

Vintage Market Days Jacksonville is bringing together everything “Shiny and Bright” for a three-day weekend full of shopping, inspiration and more.

More than 120 vendors, pickers and makers will showcase their finest handcrafted and curated items — many local and others visiting from 15 different states. From vintage and vintage-inspired furniture and home décor to boutique clothing, handmade treasures, jewelry, art, seasonal plants and signs, the open-air market will be held Friday, Dec. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 3, at Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs.

“With more than 268 boutique-like booths showcasing over 120 vendors, pickers and makers, I like to say that this event brings together Midwest and East Coast vintage finds mixed with the Southern charm makers,” says Tonya Ross, the owner of Vintage Market Days Jacksonville, a franchise under the VMD umbrella. “In this day and age of fast fashion and mass-produced home goods, it’s so nice to shop a market that offers unique, one-of-a-kind pieces while supporting small businesses. We’re also raising funds for Clay County 4-H with a portion of the proceeds from the market supporting their group, so you can shop and give back!”

Founded in 2012, Vintage Market Days hosts events throughout the year across the United States. Their mission is to provide an upscale, vintage-inspired experience where creativity reigns.

The December “Shiny and Bright” market in Jacksonville is conveniently held just before the busy holiday season. It offers a relaxed market vibe, complete with live music by DJ Hike, food truck row and both covered and open-air dining. Pre-purchased tickets are encouraged.

Tickets may also be purchased at the gate, with shopping times from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1-3. Admission for children younger than 12 is free. Once purchased, tickets are good for re-entry into the event all weekend.

“It’s such a fun event to hit up with your family or a group of friends,” said Ross. “Our artists and makers always love interacting with our marketgoers, so come support these talented folks!”
