Baptist Beaches unveils expanded state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center

Baptist Beaches/Wolfson Children’s Rehabilitation Center has announced the opening of its new, larger facility on the Baptist Beaches campus, an expansion to meet the community’s growing need for convenient access to rehabilitation services.

Located at 1375 Roberts Drive, Suite 202, the new 6,000-square-foot facility represents a leap forward in rehabilitative care. Equipped with the latest technology, including a ZeroG Gait & Balance System and an adult pelvic health program, the center is designed to transform the approach to physical, occupational, speech and massage therapies.

The ZeroG system protects pediatric patients from falls by using a harness that connects to an overhead track. The system supports the patient’s body weight and allows for easy interaction between the child and the therapist. In addition to walking and balance, the system can also help children with sit-to-stand activities and stairs.

The adult pelvic health program will provide therapy for men and women experiencing urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic floor muscles weakness, tightness or pain, and dysfunction related to cancer.

“By expanding our services and enhancing the facility, we are responding directly to the community’s increasing need for specialized rehabilitative care,” said Hospital President Jarret Dreicer. “The modernized center is not just a building, it’s a place of hope and healing for families seeking comprehensive, advanced therapies.”

The need for rehab services is growing rapidly worldwide, fueled by increases in the aging population and sedentary lifestyles that result in chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation services, according to the World Health Organization.

“Locally, this trend is mirrored in the beaches area, making this a perfect time to enhance capacity and technology to cater to the community’s health needs.”
